after reading this i checked the airlock im using, and it indeed had these mold-casting dags or whatever they are. After a qucik trim and an inspection of the grommet i decided to use it anyways.

Its holding the preassure fine and the air lock is bubbling away nicley.

so even though i got a Lager Kit, the fact thats its a Coopers mean it will have an Ale yeast? Drat it... I had a perfect 16 degrees as well...

the Coopers instructions say 21 to 27 so i was abit confused about how much of a "lager" it really was. now i know...

the lager is so-so. id drink it again if it was half price.

the ginger is no-no. watery and the flavours semmed dull, not crisp like i like them for a ginger.

I personaly think you should drink this one on tap, not bad but couldn't drink it all night.

the sentiments exactly. While ive also had it in a stubby and found it quite delicious, i got a few pots of it at the Young and Jackson oppisite FLinders St Station in Melbourne and they were much nicer ...

if you can find the supershine, try that. i've never found it, but a mate has. liquid roast lamb and gravy was the description he put foward. but yeah, got some others in the fridge now, must try soon.
