I've used the Amber malt, this with a can of the Royal Oak Amber Ale and a bag of grains containing 220g Crystal malt and 30g Chocolate malt makes a good brew.

Can someone advise - is there a big difference between the dobbelbock and alt beers? I'd like to try brewing an alt but if the dobbelbock is similar I'll try that.

Here's a recipe for Leffe Brune, a wonderful beer:

Leffe Brune:

1. Muntons Continental Lager
2. 1.5kg Pale Liquid Malt
3. 500g Liquid Glucose
4. 25g Saaz Hop Pellets
