The Pale Ale is a tops beer! Heaps of Cascade flavour and aroma. They use all local hops too! Managed to score me a free sample pack (100g) of the Tassie Cascades from the local hop producer at Hobart Beerfest a couple weeks back...Planning me a nice APA similar to the Moo Brew... Yummy....

The Cascade PA is not actually a Pale Ale! It's a Lager, a it's brewed with the same yeast as the Premium Lager + Premium Light. That's from the horse's mouth on the Cascade Brewery Tour :)

Hi again all,

just tried the beer I made from the recipe above, used 15g POR for 60 mins, 15g Hersbrucker for 30 mins, and 15g Hersbrucker at flameout.

Has come up absolutely brilliantly! Slightly more hoppy than the real Cascade Premium but I'll have another go next winter, with just the one ...

Hi all,

Recently did a Cascade Brewery tour, and they were very forthcoming with the recipe for the Lager!
For the All-Grainers:

It's 100% Pale Malt
Pride of Ringwood for bittering (to around 20 IBUs)
Hersbrucker for flavour/aroma
And they use their in-house Lager yeast....so maybe a good sub ...
