Fruit Juice in Beer Instead of actual fruit.

I have been thinking of this for a while, i did a search and many people had gone on about putting fruit into beer but never just fruit juice.

I have been thinking of doing a batch with say 3l of Golden Circle Mango Nectar. Its 35% mango puree and is really goopy. Mostly i was gonna use it cause ...

Gday, i did a kit of Coopers Bavarian Lager, with the Coopers BE2 and an extra 500gram of dextrose. I used a genuine saflager yeast and had it in primary for 2 weeks at temps ranging between 12 and 14 degrees.

gravity was 1040 when it started but now it is only down to 1020. Its been on that for a ...

I am going a Cooper's Bavarian Lager in a temp control fridge at 13degress.

I am using a genuine saflager yeast, not the one in the kit (which i have kept).

I used a 1kg bag of Coopers BE1 as instructed, and an extra 500gm of dextrose.

The OG was 1040, it is currently 1020, i expect it to drop ...

1st con i can think of is that moving it anywhere regardless of into the sun or into another room will stir up sediment, i find 23kg easy enough to pick up and move around but its not the smoothest motion.

2nd, make sure you pull airlock out 1st, with a batch of lemonade i made recently, i moved ...

actually going back and checking it again it appears to be under considerably less pressure than the others.

Could not priming it account for this? In terms of it settling so quickly? i kind of thought that pale ale was supposed to be permanently cloudy.

one bottled has gone clear overnight

Lemon Juice for Lemonade instead of Lemons

I have access to an industrial juicer, (i dont know if it is really industrial, but it devours whole apples in seconds).

I notice that the Brewcraft recipe http://www.liquorcraft.com.au/wa.asp?idWebPage=13636&idDetails=105 wants a hell of a lot of lemons (12~24).

If i were to juice those lemons ...

I put finings in too early...

Gday, my brew hadn't bubbled through the airlock for 2 days so i put the finings in (brigalow).

Then when i put the fermenter lid back on it has started bubbling again (fairly vigorously), which makes me think it just wasn't sealed properly.

I'v heard the finings can pretty much strip out all the ...

Re: Just tasting my first homebrew now.

I have not been back to that HB store because I have found them to be overpriced, so I haven't checked the tins out.

They prolly just seem over priced because you are comparing them to the supermarket and the discount store.

I'v found that with the huge range of different kits you can get at a ...
