Re: Foamy beer from taps...whichs shouldn't be
Yep, sounds like an overcarbonated keg. I would suggest that you let it warm up to room temp, burping the headspace every half our or so for a couple of hours. The reconnect it all back up and check how it is.

Re: Cool beer fridge
It's a great project for a projects sake, and very well done. But not much that my STC-1000 doesn't do, except that it has a greater degree of resolution and accuracy. I can't imagine that keeping the beer +/-0.5C is much better than +/-1C. Still, the code to predictively turn the fridge on/off was ...

Re: Beer fraud - letter to ACCC
I liken AIB to a printing company. You take your design into them, and they print it for you. No printing company would ever decline to print something because they didn't like the design. They might suggest alterations, but at the end of the day, it's up to the customer and the customer's budget ...

Re: Beer fraud - letter to ACCC
Absolutely. No blame to AIB at all, the issue lies with the businessman who came up with the idea and approached AIB.

[Likewise with the two Snowy beers and that one from Byron Bay.]
Byron Bay Premium Ale - that was the sh!t beer I was thinking of! I remember a mate of mine was the rep for them and gave me a few to try. We both agreed that it tasted so awful that we googled why, and came up with AIB as the ...

My 5lb box arrived today too! Can't wait to crack these open and brew with them. Looks like another IPA on the cards.
I got a hop called Calypso - anyone brewed with it? I read a few reviews on some of the American sites.

I brewed a Meantime IPA type clone on the weekend. Slightly different to the You Can Brew It version, but tailored a little to suit my tastes and the ingredients I had on hand.

Re: Beer fraud - letter to ACCC
barls, in some senses I totally agree with you. Beer brewed by contract brewers can definitely be craft beer, in fact it might highlight the fact that the brewery is so small that it doesn't have its own brewing system! Or the brewing system itself is small, and therefore is brewed under contract to ...

White rabbit dark on tap is gorgeous. I always find it thin and tooheys old like from the bottle
Interesting. I remember trying the dark ale when it first came out and it was fabulous. Beautifully balanced beer with some great aroma. But it seems like they've slowly dumbed down the flavours, or ...

Re: Bitter flavor in my Milk Stout after Keg Conditioning
Hi Tim,
As Gill pointed out, it would be easier to pinpoint issues if we knew the recipe and your process. If you can post that up, that'd be great.
Personally, I find that the first few pints off a new keg always taste a bit more bitter than subsequent pints as you have more yeast and hops ...
