Fellas,

I am brewing a Sparkling Ale at the moment for the first time. Didn't tamper with the recipe too much, just followed the directions on the can. However, I wanted to bump up the alcohol % a little so I added an extra 350g of dextrose. Ended up with an initial SG reading of 1058.

Rain,

Thought there had to be a reason why Fosters was so very popular overseas. Still, doesn't detract from the fact that the Fosters over here is pretty ordinary. My vote stands firm.

Yeah, sounds like morry has the rights of it.

LBB, if you did prime your bottles with a bit of sugar, you may not have put enough in.

The only other thing I can suggest is to try putting some constant warmth through the bottles for about 4-5 days (try about 22-25 degrees C).
