+1 that
I have added it after on one bottle where I forgot to add the sugar it fizzed out the top. You can also leave it sit longer say an extra week more co2 will come out of the beer.

Thanks Bum, do you do a gentle whirlpool or as fast as you can make it go without splashing around too much?

Re: Moving to AG, Finding the right grain
I will get a hopscreen but the one I want comes from the US and will take a few weeks to get here. If I do a brew before then I will use a hopbag and whirlpool. I dont think any hot break that may be sucked up will clog the chiller.

Can I whirlpool without letting it cool first? I just read the homebrewtalk wiki article on it here http://www.homebrewtalk.com/wiki/index.php/Whirlpooling there the wort is cooled first.
Also regarding the hops I often add flameout hops, so its worth transfering those into the fermenter?

Re: Moving to AG, Finding the right grain
I found the strainer you use by beerbelly, does it work ok using pellet hops just thrown in? I think to start off I will use a hop bag and any late editions < 20min I will throw the bag into the fermenter to give any flavour left in them into the beer.

Re: Priming 250ml Bottles
A bit less than what you would use to prime a 330ml bottle :D haha.. I have used these bottles before and probably not the best way to do it but I just fill the scoop a little less and just guess. Worst case is you give it a full 330ml dose which will just make it a little more fizzy not enough to ...

Re: Moving to AG, Finding the right grain
Yeah chooks are awesome. Now to complete my all grain setup I need chooks, a garden fork and a compost heap.
I forgot I need to cool the wort. I have been looking into making my own copper immersion chiller but will cost around $100-$150 for 18m roll of new 3/8inch copper tubing. I read on a forum ...
