Re: One bottle exploded...
Sorry to bring this topic up seening it was on the way out.
I had my first bottle explode on the weekend.
This brew was bottled about 2 months ago. The FG was equal over 2 days.
I used the carbonation drops; 1 for a 330ml bottle.
Question
Is this too much for these types of bttles or more designed ...

How long has it been since you pitched the yeast?

Newbie with lots of questions.
After i have bottles my brews and have had them sit there for roughly 2 weeks before drink. I seem to be getting a lot of white (Yeast??) residue on the lower side of the bottle (i.e.Standing up on the bottom lying down on the side). This doesn't spoil the beer in ...

Newbie also.
I brewed a Queensland Gold batch for a friend(i am sorry but that is what he wanted) this was my 3rd brew. We bottled it and he has stored it on the side which has produced some white type residue and the beer when stirred taste very sweet. I haven't had this problem before. Is this ...

Re: Newbie Intro
Am also newbie. I have 4 bottles of the munich lager left.
It tasted a bit young when I first drank it (althou this could have been me).
However I am about 2 months into bottle and is tasting better. However it was very drinkable when after 2 weeks>

Grolsch Flip Top Bottles
Am new to this brew scene (2nd brew on now). I have just purchased a number of Grolsch 473ml green bottles. Is there anything out of the ordinary that I need to look for with these i.e. Clealeness, seals etc. I have been told they are the easier bottes to brew with is this true?
Any advise is good ...
