If you need an O-ring, (circular in cross section) this probably won't help, but if it's just a gasket you need.. I've read somewhere you can use a piece cut out of a silicon muffin tray or other silicon baking tray. I haven't tried it but it might be worth a shot if you're running out of time.

Glad wrap lid and big Krausen

This is my first attempt at the plastic wrap cover instead of the lid and airlock.
I'm fermenting a wheat beer kit with a kilo of wheat malt extract, anyway the krausen has peaked above the capacity of the fermenter (35l).

I am thinking of doing something similar (tin of Coopers Stout & a tin of Dark Ale) but add some candi sugar.
I would like to ensure there will be decent head on the beer.

Am I on the right track here or is there enough fermentables in the kits alone?
