I'd probably boil everything except the can for an hour or so then add the can at flameout so the malt doesn't burn.

ginger beer using coopers lager can

Am i crazy for thinking of trying the idea? Maybe but i'll probably do it anyways.
Any one tried this?
I was going to just add 600-700 g of fresh ginger and some sugar, cinamon and cloves to a can of coopers lager.
I just hope that the beer taste from the lager and the ginger work nicely rather ...

Test batches in 30L fermenter

Rater than buying a smaller fermenter could i just do 5-10L test batches in my 30L fermenter or would the large empty air space affect the brew? I would like to experiment with different beer, cider and ginger beer recipes but 23L is too much for an experiment.

Ginger beer with lager yeast

Could a lager yeast be used to brew a ginger beer or would it not work for some reason.
I have:
- 0.5kg light malt extract
- 0.5kg dex
- 0.5kg lactose

I plan to use all this, a brewcraft ginger beer kit, 200g of grated ginger and some yeast nutrient.

does this recipe sound alright? what could be ...
