Lawn bowls clubs are the best source, better than rummaging through spewy pub bins and you'll probably get to have a beer there as well.

I'm a member at Carrum and we have a function nearly every week so the supplies there for sure.

Don't worry about it too much Blandy, by the time youv'e thought about it someone has used more energy than you'll ever use in your lifetime.
Homebrewers are insignificant, you use more water and energy doing a load of clothes than three brews combined.

we are literally small fry

I have never done anything other than rinse the botles after using and then storing upside down in a show rack, then re bottle as required. Never had a dud bottle yet even after a couple of years but about to start kegging so will only use a few bottles to use up the extra after kegging.

The read on the inside of the screw lid is Rheem 304 no doubt for the stainless steel. Are these the same as corny kegs as they have been out of commision for some ...

Mixture of Pet, screw tops and long neck crown seals as well as stubbies.
I rinse them when I'm finished and hang them upside down in a rack till their dry and bottle again, sterilising, not here never had a dud one yet and saved heaps.

Open them up and put another drop in for sure, give em a shake and store in 18C for at least a week.

Maje sure you seal em tight but and they should be OK.

I have recently gone over to using dextrose instrad of droips and get more fizz anyway as well as being heaps cheaper than the drops.

I have to admit these are quite good and i certainly have had no problems with them.

I normally add the LDME and am about to ut another lager down using the kit yeast,.

Pretty simple and builds to an excellent beer almost as good as those ESB lagers!!!

just out of curiosity, how much are the superautomatica's in Melb as I really need one to take advantage of my bowls club twistop bottles.

By butterfly opener only cracks the neck so I need to downforce of a bench capper.

Wanted Crown Seal Longnecks Melbourne.

Well I have tried putting signs up to no avail, recycle centre won't give me any, the local bowls club I am a member of uses twisties and i'm after those crown seal bottles.
The twisties seem to last a couple of times then crack.

Anyone know someone keen to get rid of some???

Tried advertising in our local area Carrum downs without success, will have to go further afield for bottles I assume.

local recycling centre told me they don't keep em at all.

Oscar,

that was me, it was on special down from $50 but I didn't have room on my motorbike to get it so I imagine they were running them out.
I'm getting one for free off a mate this weekend who is kegging.
