Thanks, Dogger, for your reply. Have you any clues as to what has happened here? What is it symptomatic of? I have not changed anything in my procedures so I'm all up the creek on this,

I have jusy bottled my 15th brew and have used nothing but Fourex or Carlton Mid twist tops. I have not to date had a failure.
