They turn out Ok (I use mine to clean the bbq though), If you are going to spend good money on Hops, Yeast and the like - use a decent concentrate.
Otherwise if you are after a cheapie - use this, reduce by 3 litres ...

Hi Crowash

A couple of ideas

the bottles released by coke for the world cup had a gold coating. I thought they looked like a good idea for brewing if you were into PET.

Also if you like ginger beer you could drink the brewers choice brand (about 79c) per 1.25 bottle - they are tinted brown ...

Just going on past experience even though I am from sydney, try and look for a more independant type bottle, rather than the large type. I had more success with pub bottle shops.

Cloudwine Cellars
Purvis Wine Cellars
Australian Cleanskin Group

these guys sell Redoak in Melbourne so I would assume ...

Sure its twice the work to bottle, but I'll see how it goes.
It's double the washing, bottling, sanitizing & capping - but I tell you what - get some six pack holders like heineken, crown etc & the carton to suit and they store the easiest of the lot.

BTW whats the BVBC stuff like ?

I have four fermenters - all coopers, after upgrading one older bucket & one other carboy type. Being thirty litres they are easier to clean because of their size and easier for me to carry.
I think if you don't clean them propoerly you would have problems. The pail type would be less hassle I ...

Right on Paleman - that is the only one I have found after a few months of asking different websites - its either Grumpys, a family recipe or the old exploding bottle/ginger beer plant way.

Coopers are in line with the returnables in my mind because the returnables are getting on in years. The coopers are thicker than most new & commercial bottles available on the market, and they look good too. The Hahn longies are thick too, but are annoying to clean and store.
