G'day Fifey
Depending on how much time you have, you could continue on to Greenock and try these beers http://www.barossabrewingcompany.com/ (approx 1hr from Lobethal). Would be a pleasant drive on a nice day.
Cheers

Having brewed kits and bits for years and approaching retirement, I have been meaning to move to AG for some time i.e I was gunna !
You'll be pleased to know I've finally got round tuit, and a name change would probably be in order !!

Re: grolsch rubber seals
Thanks for your help wildschwein - didn't think to look for them on ebay DUH...
I had bought some locally, (a little thicker than the originals and the other ebay colour) but they tend to crack / perish after several uses, whereas the originals seem to last a lot longer.

Re: Wheres the Doc ?
Almost ready to go AG & looking at something similar to your brewery Warra - I'm imagining that you move the burner to the brewkettle to boil the wort? on top of the crates ?

Re: Fresh Wort & AG - comparisons?
My question is, will AG give me that flavour I have come to loooooove from fresh wort if brewed correctly?
I am also interested in the AG brewers comments
Can anyone in Sydney let me watch an AG brew taking place would be great. (and to try some samples would be greatly appreciated!!!! :lol ...

Re: Coopers Pale Ale
Mick - I like the store bought CPA and thats why I have tried it - will let you know how this brew go's. As far as consistancy in brewing , I've not achieved it yet but there are so many variables to worry about !!
Good luck in your quest

Re: Cooper's Pale Ale Yeast
After reading about recuturing CPA yeast on this forum, I thought i would try to restart the yeast as I had a can of CPA + ready for brewing. After draining 3 stubbies of the "real" CPA I put the dregs into 600mm of wort, left it in the family room (temp range 18 - 23C) and after 36 hrs there was a ...
