Not a done deal at all. If Australia win the next and last test then they retain the ashes.

Not much sense drinking out of it if you could, it's about the size of an egg cup if I remember correctly.

Just bottled a brew for the first time. I followed the crowd and bulk primed, which I'm glad I did as I used 3 bottle sizes and trying to get those primed acurately individualy would have been an arse. I decided to be conservative and go for 8 grams a litre as suggested in the coopers kit, I ...

Was it sparkling spring water or flat? The bottles for flat spring water are probably not the type to take the pressure of carbonation.

I like to drink lager nice and cold. It's one of the reasons I'm going to start bottling as well as using kegs. Bottles are much easier to get in the fridge. The kegs will be used for darker beers.

Thanks guys, think I will go for 175 grams and see how I like it. I can always use more or less next time to preference. That's why we home brew ain't it, to get the beer WE want.

Dogger,

I'm going to bottle for the first time in about a week. I've been using kegs so far with 75 grams of dextrose and this results in plenty of CO2, in fact the first third of the keg can be a little too lively before the preassure drops. The point I'm getting to (eventually!) is that 200 ...

A pain killer is something that makes life a little easier when you break your collar bone and they use a metal plate screwed to the bone to hold you together.

I agree, plastic is the way to go for ease of use.

That is hardcore! I guess that you will be using plenty of insulation to help keep the cool in and the heat out, otherwise it could get a little expensive to run.
Still, wow. I look forward to hearing how well it works although I would never need anything like that over here. Unless it ...

Dogger is right, the longer you can leave it the better. The problem is leaving it! I've only managed to leave it for medical reasons, painkillers and beer don't mix. But it did mean that I had a nicer beer to drink later on.

Kegs are a good idea, they are easier to clean and some come with a safety valve, which is handy if you do keg early or over prime. You can also draw off as much or as little as you like at a time. It's the way to go.

Many places seem to have their local late night speciality food for those with a munchies attack after a few beavies. I had heard of a pie floater but is was in a fiction book so did not think that it really existed! Now I know better.

Care should be taken with sheep as they can be dangerous. The enclosed is true.

(28 January 1999, England) A flock of sheep charged a well-meaning British farmer's wife and pushed her over a cliff to her death. Betty, 67, was charged by dozens of sheep after she brought them a bale of hay on the ...
