Re: Who's at work at the moment?

You must work near a train station? We are so far out west (of Sydney) that there is no public transport for miles, which means everyone has to drive to work and consequently, OH&S issues with duty of care, blah, blah, blah....

you will need to keg each side for balance
now thats a well balanced beer!
hope you get kegging

Re: Can't seem to get it right.

Thanks for that very detailed description Chris. At the moment I won't be getting into kegging, as I have very limited room and finances for any fancier method of brewing. Maybe when I do my planned "sea change" and have lots of room in the Big Shed on our country property, I'll give it a go.

Re: Who's at work at the moment?

At a place where I used to to work the boss was a real wine buff and would share a bottle with the other wine lovers at Friday lunch time. A few of us who preferred beer promptly formed an equivalent beer group and would take turns providing a six pack of something at Friday lunch. Helped Friday ...

I'm always logged on at work too - it's the only thing that keeps me from dying of boredom. :?

Re: tipping hot wort

Since reading the advice on the forum, I now chill my boil in the sink with ice around it till it gets down to about 27 deg C. However, last time I was doing this I thought to myself: "Self, if you're going to add cold water to it in the fermenter anyway, why not add a couple of litres of cold/iced ...

Who's at work at the moment?

I notice there are 13 people on the forum at the moment. So, out of boredom, I thought I'd create a poll to see how many of you get on the forum at work or if you wait till you get home.

Can't help myself - someone's gotta say something! Speedie, DrS is obviously too humble to brag, but the regulars on this forum know that he has won many awards and is actually becoming a brewing judge (if you've already passed your exams Doc, forgive me...) 8)
