Re: KT 26's

I voted "with my flanno & trackies" tho only in reality cause I was dirt poor & they were the best shoes I got (and they were hand downs at that!)

These days I wear my New Balance shoes with my flanno, too hot up here for the trackies most of the time

Re: Brew seems to have done nothing - tip it?

It's done - they don't carb up until you bottle them.

The dried up residue would be the remains of the krausen, totally normal sign of fermentation.

Taste it, if it tastes like hot flat beer it is a goer to bottle, if it tastes really foul (as in makes you gag/not beery) the yeast was a dud so you ...

I've very impressed with the PM box, been using it since it arrived & it tracks the conversation really well so you remember what you've discussed without everyone quoting everything.

Re: How are you`re hops growing

Hrm, I was all primed to look into getting a rhysome or 3 this year but that PDF suggests I am way too far north. :(

For those who have grown them & used the hops - how close to the initial type do they end up?

Re: Australian Type bitter

Re: Australian Type bitter

Hop wise, PoR for most Aussie beers isn't it? I made a XXXX Gold clone on PoR for a mate with those tastes & he likes it more than the original ('sif that's hard  )

Thin it out with some dextrose & keep the IBUs pretty mild I reckon.

This is what I made for my mate...

4l boil, made upto 23l ...
