Mountain Goat Steam Ale clone?

Postby Oliver » Tuesday Jun 25, 2013 8:34 pm

Thoughts on this? From what I can gather MG Steam Ale is 75% pilsner and 25% wheat malt, with Citra and Cascade and fermented with US-05. I'm adding a bit of Galaxy late, too.

Not sure about the OG and wondering whether I should mash at 66C or add a bit of light crystal to give it a bit of body.

Crystal could only improve it IMHO

I'd throw some crystal in but then adjust the IBU a touch higher to compensate. MGSA could do with a bit more IBU from where I'm standing, anyway.
