MM,

I think it should be possible.

Doing a two-can brew of beer presents the problem of excessive maltiness and bitterness. I can't see this being a problem with a two-can cider due to the fact that (a) there's no bittering agent in cider; and (b) the cans of cider (Black Rock at least) are very dry anyway.

So my view would be to give it a go. The worst that can go wrong, in my humble opinion, is that the taste would be verry "appley".

Other thoughts would be welcome, as would anyone questioning my logic, which may be, and probably is, fundamentally flawed.

Cheers,

Oliver

i was thinking 2 cans of blackrock cider, 1 kg of dextrose (to make it a bit stronger). i know these kits are very dry so would like to add some lactose but i don't know how much to add.
i would fill it up to 25L and i reckon it would come out at around 7%

I wouldn't add more than 200-300g lactose, as you don't really know what effect the concentration of two cans into 25 litres is going to have as far as sweetness goes. You don't want to add too much lactose if it's already pretty sweet anyway.

You can always add more lactose next time.
