Flavouring up my cider?

Postby gazpachos0up » Wednesday May 02, 2007 9:01 pm

Hi all,
I put a apple cider on about 5 days ago, is it too late now if i was to add 2 litres of pear juice now and let it ferment for another week for some extra flavour?

When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading. 8)

I imagine it would be....

But i never used pears in my cider. Have only done one batch of it also.

You could pasteurise the juice, cool it in its pot, add it to secondary and rack onto it. Or just dump it in primary. I won't comment on the wisdom of either course, but it should work. :P
