Hi guys ,
Been a while since I've been on !
Been toying with the idea of making 10ltrs of apple cider using all juice (just juice what ever brand thats on special presative free of course) Probably use about 500g of shredded pears I think I will work off this formula:
520gs 0f brewing sugar.
10ltrs of apple juice.
wyeast cider yeast.
Will use a 10ltr brick as a fermenter, allow to ferment out ,bulk prime and rack into my party keg .
The only things I feel I might need to do is rack for a couple of days to fine up and cold condition
any thoughts any one ? 8)

Why the extra sugar?

Straight juice gives you a 6% cider.

If you are using long life juice you dont need to rack/add finings as the yeast will drop clear.

You can also reuse the yeast time and time again as its very clean!

First attempt at using an all juice method ,have done a couple using the can stuff with half juice ect, thought I'd produce a better cider if I cut out the stuff that I don't really need ,thanks for the heads up.
