Just a question, when you add first lot of water to open the grain up while mashing, do you keep this water? or run it off and only keep what you sparge with, or do you keep all the liquid?

Keep it all champ, that first lot of sweet liquid is the best, the 2nd lot of water(sparge) is to try to extract the most of the remaining sugars available from the grain... :D
