After I finished the clean-up, I recalculated the batch....er, I got a bit heavy handed with the Millenium and added 24g of it (14.4% A/A) and Promash says it should be around 61 IBU's!! I pulled back the Amarillo 20 minute addition to compensate and to emphasise the flavour / bittering profile of the Millenium so I can see what it tastes like.
I too added Gypsum to the mash and so this should be a nice hophead pale ale - hopefully the Munich II will help balance things but this is not a subtle pale ale!!
I ended up with 23L at 1.044 in the fermenter (around 80% efficiency). If it works out ok, I'll publish the recipe (after I put some in the club comp!!).
