Just thought I'd give this a mention, many of you may have been here ... but for those that havent.

Epoque is a beer bar in Cammeray, just north of the harbour bridge in sydney.

I've been there a couple of times but not for 18 months.

Anyway if you ever looking for a good feed and a HUGE range of belgium beers (a good number on tap) then you have to check this place out.

My fave has to be Leffe Blonde

Website is - http://www.belgian-beer-cafe.com.au/

And no I'm not affiliated in any way ... just had a couple of great nights out there, and I'm sure people here would enjoy

Cheers, Wazza

Sounds good, too bad theres not one in melbourne! There seems to be a lot of variance in belgian beer. I dont think Im a huge fan of some of the belgian beers though. Perhaps it comes with age, but I just dont enjoy beers like chimay or leffe or bush. Maybe I just need to drink more of them?

Of all you mentioned, you have hit on the worst beers. Try a Tuborg

Hi all,

There is a similar place in Melbourne, called Belgian Beer Cafe Bluestone. It's on St Kilda Road, a bit out of the city. It's in the Royal Society for the Blind Building (ironic, considering it's now a pub!!!).

See http://www.belgianbeercafebluestone.com/

A great place to have a beer in the summer, and in the more dreary Melbourne weather if you can stand the noise inside.

Cheers,

Oliver

Also there is one in Brisbane called , funnily enough, the belgium cafe.

Has Stella, Leffe Dark and Leffe Blonde on tap but a huge variety on beer on their menu. Unfortunately it's not cheap so i have to limit visits to once every couple of months....

Finally made it to the Rocks one last weekend, Heritage I believe it's called. Very impressive and well worth the visit.
