Adelaide bars

Been to a good pub, or bad, lately? Found a bar with a great selection of beer? Looking for a new local or somewhere to visit on holidays?

The 500mL beast would fit in the overnight bag my missus calls a handbag. Would require me to fill it full of makeup etc to fit it in but damn, would look good full of a HB wheat.....

Correction I have a 2001 schutzenfest glass which I use as my main beer glass. It was that stinking hot 45 in the shade year. Bad memories.
Sounds like Beer O'clock.

Oh, right, i wasnt there....... I stand corrected

45? Think thats a requirement for schutzenfest, #%*^ing hot with very little shade.....

Biermeister - got a pic of that lovely glass filled with one of your HBs?

Cheers

Us Easterners need addresses for these places!
Will be popping over in March sometime, likely to be staying in/near Glenelg...tell us of some places nearby? A couple of the lads actuall want to chat up the local birds...I'm more keen to chat up a beer tap or two ;)

The Wheatsheaf rocks. Best selection of beers (& Whiskey too for that matter) that I've ever found in a pub. I can't wait to visit again.

No, but I'll have to get on to it. Would be such a shame as I would have to drink it afterwards too.

if we're ever eating out in town, i find the bar on gouger pretty decent. a massive selection of bottled beers (i think 150+ although they can be a little over-priced) and last time i was there, they had southern bay beers on tap.
beer never tells me it's not in the mood.

'Tried' it for the 2nd time last night , heads a bit groggy at work this morning... and the Maccas hash browns are sitting heavy.

LCPA on tap - think its still my fave beer. Didnt think much of the pilsener but after the pale nothing stands up to it. The Mountain Goat IPA was nice, much easier to drink than the doubleIPA i tasted a few weeks ago.

They had the JSGA on hand pull, served a bit warmer, maybe 8degC and with bugger all carb. Damn that was good! Memories of england came flooding back.....Once all the taps were done got stuck into the mountain goat stout in the bottle and carnage ensued.

All you local Adelaideans get your arses down there at least once. It showcases all thats good about our microbrewing scene. Not to mention, no pokies, live music and a $1 pool table!

Yours in desperate need of another FUIC.....
