You know you're a HB'er when....

You check out bottles by the roadside and consider taking them home for a cleanup/reuse....

In my defense it was a longie....

I scan the bins around my golf course every time I play. I score a longie about once a fortnight. Just cleaned up a VB longie.
I thought golfers were classy people, but obviously that's not the case judging by the crap they drink going around the course.
I have now revised my opinion, and have concluded that Home / Craft Brewers are among the most sophisticated people on earth.

 I have picked up quite a few longies from the roadside. You just have to make sure the opening is intact so that they'll seal properly, and clean the hell out of them! ;)

 I sort of did this on Sunday....mmm The James Squire Porter is nice, it just lacks the punch of a dark beer.

Done that too, I didn't pick it up, but I thought about it. It was the Brown Paper Bag that put me off  .

What actually happens, he goes on these uncontrollable jags, and then goes into the Dry Out Ward for a couple of weeks.
He always turns up sooner or later even if it is white as a ghost, a 4 week whisker growth and as jittery as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

Now, if you don`t mind me saying, and I`m sure you will, but you`re saying about "classy people"?
How classy does it look ratting thru rubbish bins for empty bottles on the course?
No offence , but that is so funny

A noble thought.
But you don`t think people trawling thru rubbish for empty beer bottles are doing it to help save the planet,do you?
They`re doing it because they don`t want to spend the money on new ones. When they`ve collected enough, they`ll stop.
The planet needs a bit bigger fix than refilling beer bottles, but I suppose anything is better than nothing.
