'burping' your keg

As mentioned in my previous post I am new to brewing in kegs and I have a 50 liter keg. I have read several articles and they all recomend that after carbonation you need to 'burp' your keg to release the oxygen and any wild yeast or accompanying bacteria.
My set up simply goes directly from the co2 cylinder to the couplingattatched to the keg and the beer line comes out the other side of the coupling. My question is do I need a pressure releif valve and if so where do I conect it.

If your 50 litre keg is of the "commercial variety", no, you won't have a pressure release valve. My suggestion is to fill the keg up as much as you can, then pour some off with the CO2 attached.
