Portable Keg Gas n Pour

Postby Stangas » Wednesday Nov 01, 2006 12:01 pm

I want to make a keg portable so i can take it bush.. sit the keg in a bin full of ice.

I saw on ebay once a piece that sits on both the inlet and outlet clips of the pepsi kegs (19L) and you can mount a soda stream cylinder to supply pour pressure and a small tap is on the other end.

I want one, and cant find another. Anyone have an idea where?

All me brew shops are looking at me funny.. but i have definately seen it.

Otherwise, any ideas of getting a similar system.. this is the closest i have found so far

the one i saw was both tap and gas in one piece. and the cylinder was only small.. (whippit)

Your method looks good too.. i also found some cylinder recharging stuff

Mate, not too sure if this will work or not but go to the link below or just cut and paste into your browser and this page should have what you are after.

This is what you are after i think. It is called a keg charger and you can get them on eBay for much cheaper than the online shops. Just wait around until you see one on eBay and bid for it. Generally, a ball type connector is supplied with the unit, or whatever connector you keg is.

You can get various size soda stream bottles to fit inside it.
