Counter pressure filler

Postby gregb » Tuesday Nov 21, 2006 2:01 pm

Anyone mucked around with counter pressure filling bottles from the keg?

If so, any comments to make about it?

Thanks,
Greg

Greg,
From all things I've read and heard they are a waste of time and money; I haven't used one myself but have a friend who has used one, it isn't used anymore just gathering dust.

I simply fill directly from the tap, but if you were concerned you could attached a small piece of hose from tap, long enough to reach the bottom of the bottle and fill that way.

Cheers

I dont understand what counter pressure filling is? Is it just filling bottles from a pressurised keg that has been force carbonated? I was wondering about this the other day whether it was possible or not
A woman walks into a bar and orders a double entendre, so the bartender gave her one !

Anzac,
Yes and Yes, but forced carbonated beers poured into a bottle will only remain carbonated for a limited period. It's wise to pour them just before you need them and not store them for extended periods.
