Am I worthy?

The ins and outs of putting your beer into kegs.

Am I worthy?

Postby buscador » Thursday Mar 01, 2007 3:43 pm

To be in this forum with the kegmeisters

No, but Im moving up in the world,

PET to glass bottles, woooo, settle down boy..

Been drinking and saving 330ml bottles of Kirin Ichiban for a month now,
if I prime with a Cooper's drop thats been made for 375ml will it explode on me or do you think its a go?

Should I wait to use these bottles when its a bit cooler in Melbourne? Once bottled will sit in the shed for a while, and its been 30 degress in there lately, just a thought..

Thanks all, you guys rock!

1 drop should be fine. 30 degrees shouldn't be too bad, though keep in mind that the more stable your temperatures the better your beer will age. After carbonation (which needs slightly warmer temps), think the same conditions as you'd store wine in.

morgs-thought id get a quick, straight forward answer
from the biggies on this forum

didnt want to waste yer time

maybe this site needs a system where i could put a star in when my question is answered

guess i put this into kegging cuz it had to do with storing the beer rather than making it
my mistake

I answer to the original questions yes one drop with be fine, but I wouldn't store your beer at 30c as it will spoil in a relatively short period of time.

my shed needs a son, not the sun, possible 10L fermenter in the works,
think of it, mini mini microbrewery, you complete me!

other hand, i need a giant fermenter that works its way from my kitchen outside to the shed and back to the kitchen wher it caps itself and then takes a sip and tells me how well the beer tastes, and ties my shoes for me, and ...too much Jetsons as a kid...ELROY!!!!

I'm nursing a hangover from last night's brewclub meeting - those Erdinger Dunkel Weizenbocks were bad boys indeed!

Cheers,

It's amazing what a high-alcohol beer can do for you.

I enjoyed a couple of 7% Double IPAs at the Goat last night and they sure sneak up on you...
