Stuck Tap!!

Postby DJ » Friday Apr 04, 2008 7:14 am

Went to pour myself a beer last night and my tap is stuck!!

I could only just move it but it was bloody hard.. Do I have to pull it apart and clean it? It's a Celli (I think that show its spelt..)

I hope it can be fixed...

Pull it apart and make sure you clean it well and get some parliq or the like to lube the necessary parts.

I do this to my taps every few weeks.
Prost and happy brewing!

No sorry, you will have to get that from your LHBS. Any food safe lubricant will work, I just like the parliq stuff myself ;)

Agreed...However, telling the missus that I need to drink more would not give a favourable response..(insert blackeye smiley here...!!)

G'day DJ - I had a stuck Ventmatic truflo tap the other day - an overnight soak in some hot water did the trick.

Cheers,
