Seals for Spartanburg kegs

Postby timmy » Wednesday Nov 05, 2008 11:38 am

Hi all,

I've got a few second hand Spartanburg kegs that need new seals. Where is the best place to get them from? kegsonline do them but they are a bit pricey. G&G have seal kits but they list them as for American or Australian style kegs. I assume it's American style but want to be sure.

Also - I've dismantled all the posts etc and there appear to be 2 different designs of poppet valve even though the kegs are the same. Is there a significant difference between the 2 types (spartanburg and cornelius) of poppet valve?

Cheers,

Tim

To the best of my knowledge timmy, spartenburg and cornelius are the same. There are two different types of connections though, ball lock and pin lock.

Thanks. I make a leap of faith and bought a seal kit from G&G. All good so far
