Dry hop after carbing?

Postby timmy » Friday Feb 20, 2009 11:16 am

Hey all,

I sampled my golden ale from the keg last night and it's missing a lot of the hop aroma. I was considering bleeding the keg and then throwing in a handful of amarillo but I wanted to know if this would work since the beer is already carbed and cold. Should I let it return to ambient before attempting this?

Cheers,

Tim

As long as you put the hops in something thats not an issue.

I use a tea ball.

Some people create holders that can be taken out once you get the aroma yu are after.

I leave mine in.

Start small, 5-10g.
