The long road of hops.

In the centre of the glass is a bit of hop that has made the trip from the kettle to the fermenter to the keg to the glass.

Just couldn't not share.

While we're on hops, I was watching some show the other day where they did a tour of the Boags brewery. The bloke didn't even drink beer (what the?) and had to get his cameraman to do the tasting. Had to laugh when the tour guide had a container of hop cones and asked if anyone wanted to try one. Of course the presenter did, grabbed one and and started to have a good chew on it. MMMMM, bitter.

The presenter was Hawthorn Footy legend Dermot Brereton (Yes I am a Hawthorn supporter).

Maybe he doesn't drink because he doesn't want to follow in the same footsteps as Wayne Carey????

Then again I think he may be a spirit drinker from a few comments I've read. (Still no reason to knock back a beer at a brewery)
