Anyone in Sydney like the look of this- http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38172&item=4390715980&rd=1? Appears to include a Super Automatica type bench cappe!

Anal retentive Queenslanders who insist on roll tops should see this- http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=563&item=6189657217&rd=1

And we can all admire the courage of this seller
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=563&item=6189010497&rd=1. Think this has been up before, and at that price I am not suprised he has no bids!

For sale in Geelong, this would almost be worth getting for the 50 empty Grolsch bottles alone, never mind the 140 longnecks, the old black Olinda fermenter , and all the rest

For a terrible moment there I thought Geoff was selling up (he's close enough to Geelong to be considered Geelong).

But then I saw mention of Grolsch bottles and my breathing returned to normal.

I am the current high bidder at $91.00 with an hour to go.
Anyone want to share the booty? I really only want about 40 of the longnecks & 20 of the Grolsch bottles.
Email/pm me quick- happy to go halves or thirds.

Undercover,

Where are you?Im in Geelong and I can help out with some longnecks if you are interested. Im not too sure what a fair price for them is. You wanted 40? I think I can manage that. I have some Grolsh bottles as well, but they are gold and I dont think I can part with them.

Also have a plastic fermentor ot two if you are interested (one Coopers and one Wanda one I think it is).

email me if you like conradpearson @ ozemail.com.au (minus the spaces of course).

I'd email you, 'cept your email isn't listed. If you were the successful bidder, I don't mind sharing the cost for some bottles. I'm in Melbourne, but find myself on the coast from time to time.

All this becomes irrelevant as I dropped out at $105.00- I did not want to pay for all the other bits and pieces.
Someone got themselves a bargain though.

Quite frankly this lot http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20690&item=4395539524&rd=1 looks like a bit of a bargain for anyone south Melbourne or on the peninsula. Peninsula. What a great word.

No idea, Greg, but with a day to go it's only at $42.00! The only thing sadder than seeing someone getting out of HB would be seeing someone from this forum miss out out on a bargain.
The fermenter and capper are worth more than that on their own. Secondaries, bulk priming...if I didn't have five fermenters already I'd be in there.

And no, it's not me selling it.

Why would anyone pay for twist top longnecks? Especially if some have mould in them, & they still have their labels.
Grab them from the recycling bins on the side of the road...
Many restaurants I goto serve their imported beer from longnecks and are the non-twist top type. Find a restaurant which serves beer like that & ask the manager if you could have the empties. Offer them a couple of your homebrews in return if thats what it takes.

Too true, Redsicks, especially considering an unspecified number of these are clear glass and thus useless. I think it should be a point of honour never to buy empty bottles, (unless they are special- Grolsch, flagons or whatever) although buying an actual beer to get the bottle is fine.
Now, does anyone know what THIS http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6550017991&category=361&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1 is? An antique Temprite? Part of Dr. Jeckyll's home brew set up?

Interesting contraption.
One would look even more like a mad scientist brewing with that set up.
I do feel like a mad scientist sometimes when brewing.
