That's a bit like the hilarious thing I saw on a TV property show a year or so ago.

A bloke was bidding on this absolute mansion but the bidding didn't reach the reserve so the property was passed in to him, meaning he could then negotiate exclusively with the vendor about buying the joint.

So the potential buyer promptly went inside and offered the vendor about $200,000 less than what his last bid had been.

That really shat off the vendor, but apparently it's quite legal (in Victoria at least).

I'll have to keep that one up my sleeve!

Mikey, you cannot bid lower than the starting bid. The bidding form will not accept a lower bid. :(

Suprising that the seller, who presumably is or was a kegging HBer, would have such vile artwork on his fridge.
Salut!

How good are you at painting? :P Paint it so it looks like its glass and is looking in on a gigantic brew room behind the fridge door :P

top idea Lebowski!

lets see would a 4" brush do the job?
I was thinking of something a little easier, a brewer yes, but an artist not with a paint brush anyway!

Grabman

ps how are the kegs going Nick?

Going good but I've run out of beer now (just made a nice amber ale that parents finished off). Got another keg for $65 from TWOC at stock road markets and an extra fermenter the other day :D
You could always make up your own brewing co logo :P

I have thought about using the family clan badge as a stencil and modifying text

Image

What do you reckon??

Any artists out there could paint it on or cut me a stencil?

It's also legal to make another bid after the hammer has fallen. The auction is not over until the paperwork is signed ...
Mmm, beer. Bottled a brew tonight that's spent almost five weeks in the vat.

Hey Grabman,
I used to put images onto my fridge using a photocopy and turps.
I can go through the process if you like.
It transfers the image of a extra large B/W photcopy directly onto the fridge which you can then paint up or not as you like. It works with photos, designs, whatever and ends up looking great!
Cheers

Could be a goer Silk,

Grabman,
Its better if the fridge is painted and is less glossy than the original surface. Must be clean and grease free.
Photocopy your image as big as you need. There are A1 size photocopiers available at shops like 'Kinkos' or 'Kwik Kopy'. That will cost a bit more than using the work photocopier.
If using the work photocopier then tape the A3/A4 pages together on the back side and cut off any overlapping (as this will transfer to fridge).
Tape this picture image side onto fridge. (You might need to reverse the image before photocopying to get it to read right (text especially).
Use a solvent that disolves the photocopy ink but does not disolve the paint you used on the fridge. This might be a bit tricky depending on the paint used and the type of photocopier (I haven't tried colour photocopiers).
Turps worked for me. Try metho, turps, acetone, thinners, kero. There are a heap of types that might work. Carefull on using gloves and ventilating room!!! Acetone kills.
Using a lightly soaked rag rub the back of the paper enough to wet but not to make the image run. You can re-wet as many times as you like.
Check the edges to see if the image has transfered, repeat if needed.
Use a marker pen and house paints to touch up image if you like. I used a perminant marker just to clarify a few lines didn't need much.
I wish I still had some photos of the final art....

I hope this helps.
Cheers
Silk

Artwork comes "free" on every bottle of commercial beer. Simply soak the labels off, apply them to your fridge using wallpaper glue. Takes quite a long time to cover significant areas (I have one on 4'X3' MDF as a bar hanging), but think of the fun you have acquiring all those exotic labels.
Can also use as an excuse to the financial comptroller regarding purchases. Something along the lines of "I needed to buy this particualr beer because of its label".
Adds a whole new dimension to shopping at Dan Murphys. Buying beer for its label as well as its contents.
Finished product enjoys the advantage of looking better the more you drink (dont so many things? :-) )
