What a shame that my parents live near by. ;-)

What a shame I just can't bring myself to bottle in plastic. I know it might be fine, but beer in plastic. It just doesn't seem right. :-)

I only ever bottled in PET when I had this terrible itch to brew but had exhausted my glass bottle supply.
I left my fermenter in my other pants

Tatura is 2 hours north of Melbourne, just west of Shepparton.

For any home brewers in northern country Victoria, this might be for you, but its probably out of reach for most of us in Melbourne.

Despite being only $5 atm, it's the petrol costs that's the real cost here.

I wish people would look at getting longnecks from reception centres and the like instead of using PET. It's a direct form of recycling, meaning there is no energy required to melt the glass down to make new bottles as in indirect recycling.

As for cost... I got all mine for free

Krusty, I just bought a car, and am picking it up tonight. Now I can finally go pick up some longnecks from those reception centers... just wish they'd serve Coopers!

On that, I've noticed that some of the trendier bars in the Melbourne CBD are serving Coopers longnecks alongside their stubbies. St. Jeromes (sp?) is one, there's another one in a lane off Chinatown (open air place with the bar and toilets in shipping containers :P). Might have to go ask if I can rifle through their bins.
