Not that much of a discount but BigW at Garden City Brisbane has Malt Shovel on sale at $12.48 per can (certainly cheaper than my HBS).

Bought some myself 2day in Charlestown Newcastle NSW.

Check under the lids as some of the ones here did not have the yeasts
A homebrew is like a fart, only the brewer thinks it's great.

Would you have used them if they did boonie?
My local bigW does them on special all the time at $12.48 and its pretty good considering that they are like $18 in most brew shops.

Considering if you buy a Coopers kit you have to add malt hops etc 12.50 is a bargain. if I can keep getting them at that price I would consider just using them as my main brew.

A Nut Brown Ale I made in March is just beautiful.

Sure do mate.

I guess my point is that a Coopers stout will cost around $12; and if you go with a simple recipe of adding in a kilo of DME @ $7, say some oats or wheat extract, and some hops @ $1? there's not that much difference compared to something that's all ready to go.
