Had a very disappointing beer from Gulf Brewery. The IPA had a prominent alcohol smell and had quite a harsh alcohol taste, despite only being 6%. Did I just get a dodgy one or is it a wider fault? What are their other beers like?

I had it sitting out of the fridge for a while, but it wasn't noticeably warm.

Tried the Fish Tail pils not long after, felt a bit bad about criticising them and forgot to update. Had similar solvent notes. Bit of a shame. I'll try again soon and see if whatever was wrong is cleared up.
