It's been a long time since I tried it last. I'm unlikely to, which is a pity because the theory is nice. Perhaps the Top Gear Beer (The Sting...) is worth a try.

Second that, was all excited about 12 months ago when I purchased first Beez Neez, and then I was extremely disappointed.

Have not had the "Sting", but after the Neez, not too keen.

Better Honey Brew??, my HB with 1kg of honey, not brilliant, but better.

Seriously - give the Sting a go. Had another one Friday night and I love it, even though I thought the Neez was crap. See what you think, because I can't get enough of the Sting. Let us know.

The Liquorland near me had Beez Neez in the bargain bin for $1 a bottle, got all of them (about 4 or 5). They probably can't get rid of them, everyone who goes in there just buys 30 packs of West End.

i hadn't had beez neez since before i really got into different varieties of beer, and home brewing. i tried one again tonight, hoping to be able to notice that it was a honey wheat beer, but again it tasted so... generic. couldn't tell at all. characterless

To be fair with honey the flavour ends up dissappearing, I reckon the fresher you can get this stuff the better

Had a glass of Beez Neez in the Sydney airport last night. Cost me $7 for what was an SA schooner, Vic pot (lets not open that thread up again.....). Anyways, 285 mL of very expensive beer and i gotta say, not that great. Not bad mind you but just not what i would have expected from a smaller brewey. Honey flavour is subtle but there but i wouldnt pick it as a wheat beer if i didnt read the label...

never had the bee sting, will have to track that down so i can vote!

Forced myself to have a Neez last weekend and it still tastes rubbish to me. I say and say again - they are worlds apart, incomparable. Even if you don't like Bee Sting, you will see that all honey-wheats do not taste like BK.

well for me, i havn't had a beez neez in ages and as for the sting well i've never had that one. i guess theres only one thing to do to decide. but both today and have a crack.

tried beesting now.. soooo much better than beez neez! it's a bit more obviously a wheat beer, and you can at least tell there's honey in it! good hop balance too...

When I first had Bee Sting, it was pretty good. Only had a couple bottles though. When I found it stocked at the local 1st Choice, I got a six for abut $20, and they were without exception over-carbonated bottle-geysers when opened, and would foam terribly in my mouth. Even after sitting upright in the fridge for a month, it was that way. Sure it may be better, but I had a bad experience and won't pay for that again. Maybe if I see it on tap somewhere I'll give it a try. Beez Neez is a good thirsty beer, and though not as good, its been rather consistent for me.

Most likely, but at $20 a six, I won't be trying them again anytime soon.

Although I've never tried it, I voted for Bee Sting. Surely it couldn't be worse than Beez Neez. Beez Neez is a terrible beer which should be banned from public consumption. It's unbelievable that Matilda Bay can produce a beer as great as the Bohemian Pilsner and also turn out crap like Beez Neez.

Snowdog, you should have rung them up and complained. I bet they would have sent you a replacement six-pack.
