JS Sundowner Lager

The good, the bad and the ugly of commercial beer and breweries, including microbreweries and craft breweries.

JS Sundowner Lager

After trying this I can say I was underwhelmed.

Nothing really stands out about this beer as unique, seems just to be a premium type lager.

I'm sure it will sell well for those looking to be a little more 'adventurous' this festive season, like buying it instead of Crown Lager at Christmas!

Anyone else tried it? Thoughts?

Tried one on Tuesday and I didn't mind it, actually I would give it a 7.8/10.

Twas a Hoppy Lager, hint of Golden Ale in the aroma stakes.

I suppose we are comparing it to Golden Ale, well I know I do, when it comes to the quality mark for JS.

I think it would be a big seller if they actually marketed it.

On a side note and slightly OT, I was talking to a Female Co-worker and she was telling me she was starting to drink more beer than wine as she had found a beer that she loved..........the culprit, James Squire Golden Ale. 8)

Cheers

A homebrew is like a fart, only the brewer thinks it's great.

I had a couple of these over the weekend and was pretty impressed. Might even be able to convert me to lagers.....
