Just brought a six pack of Pepperjack 2008 hand crafted ale(w&*nking also done with hand)

Off the label -Pepperjack Ale brings the best in craft brewing and contemporary Barrosa wine making.
This rouge coloured ale has been created using the finest malted barley grains intensley aromatic hops and pepperjacks own
Barrosa Valley Shiraz.

My view- Very nice beer bronze colour can pick up malt /friut tones and just a tiny hint of shiraz hop bite .
Would buy again only vice lacked head .
Done by Saltram wines Angaston S.A. Nigel dolan has his signature on it .

Must say first beer wine mix for me (out of same bottle any way).

Interested to hear if any one given this a go and your notes

Yeah I've only had a single stubby. Certainly enjoyed the flavours - can think of many meals it would complement. I don't see it as a "session" beer - you couldn't knock back half a carton in a night as it is just too complex and intense.

Drink it with an open palate. It is a nice change.

Tasted it at the cellar door.

Bland and boring was my only note taking.

Marketing gimmick IMO.

That was late 2007 so maybe the 08 version is different, next time i am there i will have another taste.

a favourite autumn or spring session beer for me, so dam easy to drink IMHO, and it's relatively easy to find (compared to my other favourite sessionals anyway). quite a balanced beer i reckon, and at $54 a slab at First Choice it isn't bad price-wise.

I've only had one or two probably 6 months ago but to my recollection it is quite a nice drop. I wouldn't say it's heavy or complex, but it's certainly a beer I'd drink again.

my only complaint is it's a little pricey...always around $20 a 6er when I see it

true, but you can find cases of it for under $60, which is pretty good value.
