Woolworths takes stake in Gage Roads

Postby Oliver » Sunday May 17, 2009 6:08 pm

Woolies' has picked up 25 per cent of Gage Roads for $1.9 million.

It's an interesting move. Read more about it here and here.

(As an aside, I just learned that Gage Roads is actually an area off the coast of WA!)

Cheers,

If it makes their IPA a bit cheaper then good on them.

Hopefully :D

I've noticed Dan Murphy's have recently permanently dropped the price of the Gage Roads IPA to less than than Squires a sixer, down to $13 from $17 and is now the same price a carton - $50. Not sure if it applied to the other brews in their line up. Wonder if they'll be pushing it more, now their parent company have a large stake.
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
