G,day Paul.

If you are looking for a good homebrew shop, the best around your area is Marks Home Brew.
It's on the Maitland Road in Islington. Not that far of a drive for you.
I can highly recommend him, he's my regular supplier of all I need.

Welcome to the board, mate. Been thinking of building my own condenser to fit on top of my brew kettle recently, too. The missus likes vodka and absynthe so would be a good way to keep her happy with all the gear I keep buying. Mind you, she's loving the Normandy cider I've just brewed and it's not even on tap yet...The danger of letting other people sample your hydro tests is that they want to drink from the fermenter just as much as you do!

Never been to MHB, but it doesn't sound any different to the 8-10 LHBS's that I've been to.
Nothing interesting to see here, move along.
