just enjoying a beer

Sometimes you just "brag" to yourself, you sit, you stand and drink and savour your own brews and say " f..k that's better than I can buy, the pub, lets brag on and enjoy.

Any brew in particular, BB? Or all of them? ;-)

Cheers,

I'd like to say all of them Oliver, but that would be a lie. However it was my basic draught followed by English bitter that gave that particular joy.

Good work BB, you are right on the mark. There are some beers as good as mine at the bottle-o but I can't usually afford 'em

Gunna have me a little bragging time myself this evening.

Woo hoo :D First taste of BIAB #1 - the good Doc's JSGA - could hardly be happier.

Two small issues (to my eye). 1 - Pretty damn cloudy (used no finings/filtering/polyclar), and 2 - Lacing on the glass sides well, but head is a touch thin.

BUT

Tastes absolutely sensational. 8) Magical amarillo hoppiness, good balance, clean finish. An absolute cracker. Loving it.

I have a couple of mates who, like me, will not give two hoots about the cloudiness, but plenty of other mates who might, so the next brew will get some Irish Moss, otherwise I would love to be able to churn this out consistently.

Sounds great BD, it's great when it works out so well. Sometimes though I wonder, if you have a successful brew then perhaps leave well alone. The mates who are not keen on "cloud", give em sunglasses!
All the best BB

I'm raising this thread again because previous posts highlighted our love of our own brews, and why wouldn't we! I'm enjoying the simple rewards of stout, english bitter and dark ale - glad I don't mix my drinks.

Mmmm. Had a taste of our Stout wort. That toast with scotch idea seems like a good one.
