Hey BB,

Assuming you mean that you want to UPLOAD images that are stored on your phone, so that you can insert them in your posts?

If so, note that the hombrewandbeer.com forum doesn't host images; you'll have to upload them to a hosting service like http://www.flickr.com, and then put a link for the image in your post with the BB code image tags on either side. The "Img" button above the text field when you're posting generates these tags for you. This part of the process is the same regardless of how you access the site and write your posts.

Once you've got an account on an image hosting service, you should see a link to upload images. I'm using an HTC HD2 with Windows Mobile 6.5 on it. Using flickr.com in Opera Mobile works - I can navigate the folders in my phone's memory and select images for upload. Internet Explorer Mobile doesn't seem to play nice with Flickr.

If you're using Windows Phone 7, I imagine the process would be similar, but I'm yet to upgrade my HD2 to WP7, so can't offer any specific advice.

Posting images in general is discussed here.

Hi all, its taken some time but still a bit lost. I've signed up to frickr and uploaded some photos however when posting here and pressing the Img tab I get the cursor between the image symbols but can't get a link to frickr photos. Sorry for being a pain but any ideas?
Cheers BB

Hi BB,

Press the IMG button and you will get the IMG and /IMG tags enclosed in square brackets.

Between them but the address of the pic that you want to link to, in your case from Flickr.

For example, to insert a picture that's at http://www.homebrewandbeer.com/forumpics/crud.jpg you would put

{img}http://www.homebrewandbeer.com/forumpics/crud.jpg{/img} but with square brackets.

And you'd end up with this:

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Oliver

I think this will work ... to ensure that you have the correct address and don't mistype it, in Photobucket, flickr or wherever, right-click on the image and in Firefox select "Copy Image Location" or in Internet Explorer select Properties then select the text in the Address field then Ctrl+C to Copy. Other browsers will have something similar.

Then just paste that in between the IMG and /IMG tags.

Cheers,

Oliver
