I have too many liquid yeasts on hand at present.

6 sealed whitelabs vials
1 smackpack wyeast
2 flasks of WY1469 yeastcake i harvested last night
1 fermenter with a different liquid yeast strain still to be racked and the yeast harvested
3 packets dry yeast as backups

Hi Bobby,

Yeast cake is the sludge that's left on the bottom of the fermenter once the beer's finished fermenting and you've bottled, racked or kegged,

Check out the sticky Making yeast starters and reusing yeast, which I think will answer the questions that you'd directed at the good Doc.

Cheers,

Oliver

Hi Bobby,

Be patient also, i've got brews that are months and months old and they keep getting better. dont be worried about letting them mature right out.
