Merry Christmas

Postby Oliver » Tuesday Dec 25, 2012 2:02 pm

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope Beer Santa visited with an abundance of beer-related presents.

No beery stuff was forthcoming for me, but it's my 40th in a couple of days so I never know my luck!

I did, however, score a Christopher Hitchens hook and Sophisto-punk: The Story of Mark Opitz and Oz Rock, so I can't really complain.

Cheers,

Oliver

Yes, Merry Christmas Oliver and everyone else. No brew gear here either I'm afraid.

Happy Christmas! Though I don't know how you blokes do it with blistering heat... How do you keep your tree from shedding? LOL

Snowing sideways here and I'm brewing a golden-ale with fresh chinook and cascade LOL

I headed up north of Melbourne on the 23rd and it was 38C or so (a smidgen over 100F). Today I'm in Torquay, about an hour's drive south-west of Melbourne. It's just gone 5pm on Christmas day and it's 18C (64F). Chick is lying in the sun reading a book and I'm here outside with my laptop on the forum with a beer and the dog at my feet. Wouldn't be anywhere else!

Cheers,

Oliver

What Hitch book did you get, Olly? I just re-read Hitch-22 last week.

I got some beer-related gifts, or, to be more specific, some beer. Drinking a Timothy Taylor Landlord right now and about to smash a Hobgoblin. My wife knows me well :D

Arguably. All 789 pages of it! It's a collection of essays going back four decades.

I suspect the Mark Opitz book will be easier reading :-)

Bit late I know, but Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year. Great time of the year here in Oz, love the warm weather. Might head out water-skiing later today on the Murray River. :D

It'd be fun reading, though. If ever there was a man that could argue, it was Hitch!
