I can confirm. Numbers were 6, 32, 10, 40, 5, 28, making Tipsy's 5 the first winning number drawn.

Well done, Tipsy. PM your details to us.

I'll send you a Titanic Ale, made with a US pale ale grain bill and Goldings hops. For the other beer you can have an ESB (TTL clone or my recipe) or the other half of the Titanic Ale, which is Maris Otter hopped with Simcoe, Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin.

I think the ESB is a better beer and the Titanic is a bit light of body but you may be interested in comparing the two Titanic Ales to imagine what they may have been if I'd used the correct grain with the correct hops!

Cheers,

Oliver

You beauty!
I look forward to the tasting. Please don't expect the tasting notes to be as good as Olivers though.

Cheers.

Hey all.
By chance I will be passing by Tipsys place next saturday the 25th of Jan on my way to a weekend away with the family.
I will be dropping my beers to him and am willing to take any other melbourne based beers with me.

Let me know if you wish me to take them down for you, saves on postage and I will make sure they get there undamaged………and still full !!!….maybe !! haha

You will just need to drop them to me this week.

Saazgorillas "Earl-esk Mosaic Pale Ale" pours a lovely amber with a big fluffy white head.
I've never tasted Mosaic hops before, nice citrisey(sp?) almost floral aroma, I will definitely be using them in the future.

The balance of this beer is brilliant.

Thanks SG

I'll drop off two bottles. One for him, one for you. It might increase the chances of one of them making it.

Or not.

Mine are in the post: Two versions of the Titanic Ale, as previously mentioned so called because of the inadvertent use of the wrong malt in the first one and subsequently being forced to make the other with the wrong malt, too.

So there's the red-capped one with "HZ" on the lid. That's made with 100% Maris Otter, half-hour mash, 6g first wort hops, 30-min boil and whirlpooled for 20 minutes with a shedload of Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe and Galaxy. I made it with pogierob, CrookedFingers and weizgei.

The other, No.78, is made with ale malt, Munich and Carahell, hopped 100% with Goldings.

Both were no-chilled.

I really like the Maris Otter & New World hops version, but most others prefer the latter, which I also enjoy.

I'll be interested to hear what you think.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Oliver

Bottled the beer and brought it to work but decided not to post it yesterday as it will sit in a warehouse over the long weekend. Will post on Tuesday.
