2014 Xmas Lotto

I told Oliver earlier in the year that we would still give a Xmas lotto a go. It's been a bit quiet around here but we'll see how we go.

If we get enough interest we will draw

Here are the ground rules: (thanks mostly to Jye of AHB)

1. Post in this thread to say you are in and add your name to the list.
2. The winner will be first valid number drawn out of the Tattslotto draw on Saturday the 20th December 2013 (draw 3487), if no winner the first drawn on the next Saturday's draw will be the winner (and so on until we have a winner), and all non-winners have to send that person a bottle of their finest brew. Lotto results are available at http://www.tatts.com.au
3. Bottles can be what ever you feel comfortable mailing (PET, glass or stubbies) and should come to about 750ml. It is up to the winner to notify all non-winners by PM of address details.
4. Beers should be mailed as soon as possible but no exact date is given as a deadline. The winner is at liberty to name and shame any welchers.
5. Please remember to attach a label so the winner can identify the beer and brewer.
6. You may enter more than once, but if you don't win you must send a bottle for each entry; each bottle must be a different beer.
7. The winner has two weeks after the draw to claim their win by posting a reply in this thread and PMing the non-winners with their name and address. In the event that the winner does not claim their win, a new winner will be decided using the Tatts draw 2 weeks after the original winner's number came up using the method described in 2 above.

I've never participated in this before, thinking my beer wouldn't have been up to scratch seeing as I only do kits and extract. But I think my processes have improved a lot and having a ferment fridge has made my beer a lot better.
So on that note I'll give this a go.

Ok, not sure 4 is enough to run a lotto. What do others reckon?

Damn, you'd think with such good odds as this I'd have a chance. Congrats SG. Will have to work out what I'm going to send now.

Congrats SG.
I've chucked an extra bottle in for you on account that I won the last one because Oliver didn't want it.
I Think there is an APA and an ESB.

They will be ready to drink as soon as they've settled.
Hope you enjoy them.

SG, I will post you some beer in the new year once I decide on what is drinking the best. Hopefully there will be some left after the Christmas period.

Tipsy's Brews arrived today! Thanks, Man!

One is numbered 121, the other 123 (123 looks a few shades lighter). I'll try them out in a few days.

No probs on the wait either, guys. My own brewing season is a few months away yet!

SG....

I have bottled my Amarillo golden ale, but have 2 FV's going again now.

One is an IPA UK it's Cooper's recipe but higher ABV @ 5.5% the other is their Mosaic Amber Ale.

I can post off a 750ml of Golden Ale........ but for the sake of a week or so I could send off 2 different stubbies so you don't have to drink so much of the same kits 'n bits beer all at once. ;)

I'm happy to wait, Mattrox.

But I do recall having a 'Breakage' when I once sent 2 stubbies to someone :(

Popped a bottle of my Red Wheat Saison in the post on Friday. Might take a while to get from here to Melbourne. The style is meant to be cloudy but probably let it settle in the refrigerator for 5-7 days prior to drinking.

With regards to sending bottles in the mail, what is the best way to do this. All of my beer is currently in glass bottles. Should I re-bottle some into plastic bottles before sending? What does everyone else do?

I'm going to wrap in bubble wrap and send in a post box.
